Hey guys! My name's Dean, I'm 29 years old and have lived in Toronto for a bit over 3 years now. Originally born and raised in Montreal, I spent several years living in New York, Chicago, Vancouver and Paris for work assignments. I decided it was time to cut down on travel and to put down some roots -so I moved here. I've been very happy with my choice and have pretty quickly made some terrific friends and built a great life and home for myself.
I'm a pretty easy going guy and enjoy doing a great many things. I spend lots of time going out with friends, trying new restaurants, visiting new destinations when I can get away from work. I've been hitting the gym pretty religiously for the past two years and usually spend my school nights doing that. I'm always pretty attune to politics and world events --I'm a tireless information junkie. I definitely enjoy my TV guilty pleasures including: Glee, True Blood, Mad Men and Nurse Jackie. I try and pick up a good fiction or business book every once in a while. I've got pretty eclectic music tastes that are all over the map from mainstream pop to little known indie groups.
I'm an absolute technology enthusiast and am pretty much one of the first people to get that latest and greatest gadget.
Professionally, I'm a management consultant and have been in that field straight out of university. It's definitely taught me to be graceful under pressure, tolerating long hours and deadlines while maintaining some sense of diplomacy. Since I moved to Toronto, I left the large firm I used to work for and now work independently. It's given me a lot of free time to work on enjoying life and building a healthy balance.
What I'm looking for in a guy is a palpable zest for life. I enjoy spontaneity and sudden crazy adventures! The perfect man would be someone affectionate who will make me laugh and challenge me to try new things. Someone who's ambitious, honest and has a sense of direction knowing who he is and where he wants to be. Ultimately, someone who can not only be my significant other, but my best friend.
I know it's a lot to ask for - but I'm sure he's out there :)
Physically, I tend to not have a specific 'type' but I do generally prefer guys around my height (6ft) who stay in reasonable shape. I love facial hair and guys with masculine features.
