I am 41 and very happy to be 41. I’ve earned every facial line, every silver hair, and every shred and tatter of wisdom that I possess now. I’m an old soul who’s happy to have the outside finally match the inside. I’m also a restless soul who tries to learn from others, from films, from books, and from theatre. When I read, it’s normally non-fiction and it’s about history, religion, philosophy, or spirituality. I gravitate toward art and foreign films but I like to entertained as well by what I can S.B.U. movies (S.B.U. = Sh*t Blows Up).

For me, it is vital to my happiness to constantly self-liberate myself. I say and do whatever it is in my heart that makes me happy and content. Whether that is get a tattoo, take a naked picture of myself, bungee jump, have great sex, sing a song, or just speak my mind. I always constantly pay loved ones, friends and strangers compliments- to show them what it is that I see in them that inspires me, and what is it that I truly admire in them

What attracts me to a man is honesty, reliability and masculinity. I would much rather someone say something that they know I don’t want to hear if it is the truth. A man that looks good in a suit, but can swing an axe convincingly. On the shallow side I tend to prefer men that are older than me and taller than me. I’m 5’8″ and 39. And no, not a gay 39, ask me next year and I will happily tell you I am 40. The rest I don’t want to prescribe, I find different men beautiful for different reasons.

I am just a guy who is looking for himself, and I think I am on the right track! I am kind of laid back but at the same time I like to be goofy and have fun. And I am a midwest guy, born and raised. So things like holding a door for a lady or saying thank you and helping people when they need it just come second nature to me. I am working on my career in photography, and one day, hope to have a family, but thats a ways in the making. I love to meet new people, and I am always open to new friends.

I have had extreme highs in my life which have introduced me to some truly inspiring and amazing people. But I have also had great lows which have showed me how cruel and vile some people can be. Some have said I might be guarded or have put up protective barriers. This may be true. But personally I haven’t had that much time to think about it. Life is too short. You have to move on and seize the day.
