My name is Travis, I’m 29 years old and I hail originally from the “Stepford-like” town of Murray, Utah -- home to robotic wives and American Idols. Yes, I did grow up Mormon but being gay and a (in the cher-like voice) “half-breed” I never really liked the church and officially left the church when Prop 8 was on the ballot however being inactive for years prior. I am literally a racial mutt, my dad is Scandinavian “Eurotrash” and my mother is Japanese. Im 6’’1’ and weigh around 180 pounds.
I was a gymnast for a good part of my childhood but quit gymnastics when my coach told me I was too tall and would never have a career. I decided to hone my acrobatic chi into pompoms and peroxide when I joined my High School Cheerleading team. I took that chi to Las Vegas for a cheerleading scholarship at The University of Las Vegas, Nevada. I spent four years in Las Vegas getting my Bachelors is Management Information Systems and after graduating I had to get out of the city of showgirls and packed up everything and moved to San Diego with a Uhaul and no plans.
I currently work at the University of California, San Diego as a Faculty Assistant. I own a craftsman house built in the 1920’s that I am constantly required to put on my best lesbian boots to try and fix up. I have two amazing dogs, Lucy and Rikki (did I mention I was an avid “I Love Lucy” freak). I think if my dogs were human, sexy guys, they would make the perfect boyfriends except the occasional pooping on the floor. A childhood dream of mine was joining the circus and I am currently living that dream by training cirque arts with Revolution Studios. I was recently in a production of “Hello Dolly!” at the Starlight Amphitheater as a chorus member/acrobat and am currently an acrobat with the San Diego Opera’s production of “Turandot.”
My goals are to go back to school and become a murse (male nurse) because I really want to do something where I feel like I am making a difference in the world. I plan to learn a second language and really want to learn how to play the piano. My other interests include: bodybuilding, skiing, outdoor activities, geeky things, voyeurism and being a bit odd.
With me, nothing is ever static and I am always constantly trying to reinvent myself which is why my tastes in guys always seem to change. The misunderstood and quirky have a special place in my heart. But some qualities that have always been consistent are that I tend to be attracted to, dark-featured, muscular and/or stocky guys. Generally, a guy who takes care of himself. I like guys who are older than me (within reason) but will never disqualify a nice guy around my age. I won’t say no to a guy with a good job, credit rating, and can pay his bills.
But the most important thing I look for in a guy is attitude and philosophy. I like guys who are open-minded, free thinkers and try to take out all the “shoulds” in their lives. Guys who won’t view me as a piece of property, who encourage my ideas and eccentricities. Patience, communication and understanding are a very important to me. Want to meet a guy who lives his life to endless possibilities and will let me do the same. Someone who wants to explore the world and life and wants to drag me along with them. Someone who isn’t always serious and has a sense of humor. CUDDLING IS REQUIRED. *smirk*
UPDATE: Travis is no longer on the market thanks to a handsome Frenchman. Congrats!
