I was born in Venezuela but my folks are originally from Portugal. I moved to Miami 5 years ago from NYC where I lived for fifteen years. Even though I love the beach and the hot weather I still miss NYC and eventually would love to relocate to the Big Apple again. Professionally, I have a degree in Business but, for the past ten years I have been working in the non-profit sector and for Community Based Organizations. Currently I work as a Health Educator for an Organization that promotes good health and safer sex among gay men living in Broward County. Personally I find my job to be extremely rewarding.
Hello there! If I were to use one word to describe myself, it’d have to be “alive.” I’m 22 years young and striving for new adventures everyday. I grew up in the suburbs of Cleveland, Ohio and moved down to Jacksonville, Florida after graduating college with a Bachelors degree in English. Living in the city is tough after being surrounded by nature trails and soft, grassy fields my whole life, but I’m starting to realize that the city isn’t such a bad place if you’re up for exploration!
Modest enough to hate writing about myself, but here it goes. I am a native of Florida, raised in north Florida, living in Miami. I love living near the beach. There is something calming about the water, the sun, and being outside, must be because I am an Aquarius. Professionally, I own a magazine online www.mylifeinthecity.com, a human interest multi-city site featuring articles on locals. It is very much in its infancy stage, but an interesting venture. It takes me all over the state for now, but the main cities I am focused on are Miami and Jacksonville, hopefully opening Fort Lauderdale soon.
